Re: Painters
I'll let you know the details of the work they do in my house when I get it done (hopefully soon)... but FM if you need recommendations.
They did my parents hallway, living room, and den. They were done in 1-2 days, I think, and were sooooo neat. No idea what it cost. My mom said they were reasonable, fast, and very neat.
I'll have to ask her what paint she used. I know the color is Linen White.

Re: Painters
We had: Living/Dining room done (I have high vaulted ceilings)
Family Room/Den
Master Bedroom
1 Bathroom
Took a total of 3-4 days, used all BM paint and it cost $1700
We were very happy over all. They had to come back and put another coat on in the Master because we did sage green over a very dark purple and it started to bleed through, but they did not give us any problems and fixed it.

Re: Painters
I had a bedroom and the entry way at my house and it was $325. My entry has very high ceilings. He took two days, he did the trim and ceilings one day and the paint the next. I was very happy and we used BM paint. If you want his number let me know.

Re: Painters
My dad had a housepainting business for 20 years after retiring as a NYPD cop so I could help you out a bit.
Every house/situation is different...is there wallpaper to remove? Is there a lot of caulking/patching to do? How many coats would you like?
I know my dad swears by Benjamin Moore (used nothing else). My dad is helping my DH out in our house & its taken him 2 days to paint & patch just the moldings (crown & base) in the LR/DR.
Also they should have insurance.
Alot depends on how long they expect it to take & how many workers will be there (price).
