Painter or contractor?
My kitchen has old, peeling wallpaper on the walls. Also, some spots definitely need spackling. I want to rip off the wallpaper, sparkle, paint, and put up beadboard. Is this a job for a painter or do I need a contractor? I'd be willing to take down the wallpaper myself.
Any recommendations?

Re: Painter or contractor?
I think a handyman would handle that. It is usually someone who does painting plus other stuff.
You could also DIY-the spackling isn't hard, but you might need to rent/borrow tools for the beadboard if you don't do a lot of DIY.
