Paint on carpet-update!

Anyone know of anything that we could possibly use to get paint out of the carpet?

I'm thinking there is nothing, but wanted to ask.

***Update:
So, I bought Oxi Clean (the laundry stain remover version) and it worked wondersChat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I had a few blue spots and the came out completely.

I had a green spot (from a previous paint job) and it is almost entirely gone. I am going to try another round of Oxi Clean on it tonight.

The capet itself is a beige carpet and it is throughout the house so I really didn't want to replace it any time.

It looks miles better than it didChat Icon

hopefully its not to old, if its not a recent spill you might be out of luck, but oxi-clean and gotten it out of a rug for me. it was dried on but not there for very long. (you should test a hidden spot forst to make sure it doesn't take the color out of the carpet, I have not had it happen and I have used it on so many things

If it's still wet you can use an amonia and water solution. Once it's dried I don't know if anything will take it out.

You can buy this stuff called AFTA at a hardware store - it stinks like paint thinner. It was recommended by our carpet guy and has gotten some weird unknown stains up. If the spot isn't huge I would give it a shot... the smell goes away when it dries...

Spot shot works great.

Re: Paint on carpet-update!

Thanks for your update! I spilled blue paint on our beige carpet 2 years ago when we moved in. I tried Resolve and other things, to no avail. Now it's covered with an area rug Chat Icon

Now I know, if I ever have a stubborn stain again, I'll try the Oxy Clean first.

I would try Oxi Clean on it now-one of our stains was 6 months old-can't hurt!
