Paint Color?

This is the living room for the house we're currently under contract with. Initially I LOVED the color and overal design of the living room. I still love the layout but I'm not sure if I should change the paint to something more neutral. The dining room is a burgendy red and this is across the hall from it so bright bold colors are consistent throughout the home.

Would you paint it or leave it? And if you would paint it, what color would you paint it?

Re: Paint Color?

I kinda like the color, it looks like a nice blue. I might like it a bit more if it were reversed with the blue on the bottom and light color on top, but that doesn't really help you, lol. I don't have any good suggestion for new colors, sorry!

Re: Paint Color?

I like the color. If anything, maybe you can go to a more neutral in the dining room instead? I'm not sure how I'd like this bold navy right across from burgundy - too much contrast.

Re: Paint Color?

i love the color, but i'm not sure how i would deal with the burgandy

on a side note, it looks like there's plenty hanging on the walls-are they leaving everything? if not, you'll have to patch stuff up anyways, and may end up re-painting regardless

Re: Paint Color?

I LOVE the color, but then again I like bold color in a house. If your furniture will match I say keep it. This blue could go many ways. You could pull off a beachy feel, a modern feel, a vintage feels, a cozy rustic feel...whatever you want. We just repainted our lr a blue and I don't regret it at all. It's so cozy and fits our white trim, white furniture and tan couch perfect.

Hmm, I never thought about this. Good point to make.

Re: Paint Color?

I would paint it.

I feel like it limits your decorating choices.
