Pain while walking
I am currently 24w. Over the last few days, I have had alot of pain in my pelvic region when I walk. I'm fine if I sit or if I'm just standing still. Has anyone else experienced this?? Is this normal?? TIA

Re: Pain while walking
I get that, its like a severe muscle pain right? I get it at night when I try to roll over in bed or when I start walking, after sitting for awhile or standing. For me it goes away pretty quickly like once the muscle is worked for a minute or so. Mine probably started about 24 or 25 weeks I am now just about 30w.
My dr said it was all muscle / ligament stretching and suggested yoga, so I got a DVD and I can feel it stretching the muscles in that area but the pain hasnt yet subsided, I havent done it that long though.
I wouldnt be too concerned but I would mention it to your Dr at your next appt.

Re: Pain while walking
I have that pain, and I know it's because I have a separated pelvis (had before pregnancy). But your hormones eat away at the cartilage (or something like that) and can cause a condition called SPD. Not many OB's know about it, and try to write it off as ligament pain (which mine did). But since I know I ALREADY have the pelvic problem, I'm convinced that's what it is. The bones rubbing together. I may try going to a chiro to help it, because lately the pain has been unbearable.

Re: Pain while walking
Yes - make sure you are hydrated. My pain got so bad at one point i could barely walk and wound up in the hospital. Turns out I was dehydrated. Try to drink 8-12 oz of water every hour!! Its a lot, but I didnt have to pee anymore than usual for some reason!
