Pain while sleeping on your side??
Hi Ladies,
I am currently almost 18 weeks and have been experiencing pain on the side of my butt/lower hip area while sleeping on my side for many weeks now. My doctor said sciatica, but the pain is totally localized and only occurs while sleeping (and sometimes walking up stairs, weird, I know).
I am already using the snoogle, and have also tried putting a pillow between my legs, but it doesn't help. Also, the pain hurts the most on the side I am actually sleeping on, not the side that is 'up in the air'.
Any suggestions about what this is and how to get rid of it???
Also, I did do progesterone injections through 11 weeks, so at first I thought the pain was related to those shots, but my Dr. says no.

I get this too... it's why I have to keep tossing and turning. sometimes being on my side but leaning forward or back helps.
i'm a back sleeper to begin with... so this side nonsense is driving me nuts!

Yeah, me too. I also have the Snoogle which has helped, but not eliminated, the problem. Unfortunately it's just one of those things we have to deal with!

Oh man, I was so hoping there was some kind of stretch I could do to alleviate this pain. I wake up constantly at night to turn over, which inevitably leads to a bathroom trip too!

I am 36 weeks and it has been happening for a long time now. I feel like it has gotten worse. Hang in there.

me three...snoogle helps but its still frustrating...

i feel your pain. my actual belly hurts when i'm on either side. sometimes i'll prop the upper half of my body up with 2 pillows and give my sides a rest for a short while of sleep and then i'll go back on my side. ayayay does anyone else feel like me...i CANT WAIT to sleep on my belly again someday soon! lol

I've been having pain on my left side from sleeping on it too...and then if I sleep on my right it hurts my stomach...and if I sleep on my back, then I need like 20 minutes to get out of bed  ...so I just deal with the pain
