Hey Ladies, So as most of you know I never made it to transfer. The dr thinks repeating my fresh cycle exactly from this past summer, when I got my bfp is the way to go. With that said, I called insurance to verify my balance and I was told claims could take 20-30 days to process so call back in a few weeks. Ummm, I don't have a few weeks I kind of need to know? So, my question is if any of you have this insurance with the 10k for advanced infertility, do you know if it will cover another fresh cycle? All of my bloodwork, sono's and meds are Not applied to the 10k, just the actual procedures. With only having the retreival is there a possibility that I can get one more cycle out of then before I have to pay out of pocket? I've done back to back cycles with my last insurance co so I don't get how they wouldn't know what the balance would be after one knowing the coverage and all? Just curious! Thanks in advance!

Re: oxford freedom
Hi Jenn,
I have Oxford Freedom too. I also have the 10k lifetime advanced fertility coverage for IVF. I have not done IVF yet, but will be moving to it to it soon. I did not know the bloodwork, sonos, and meds did not count towards the 10k, so I am very relieved to hear that.
In short, I don't know the answer to your question but am interested in replies as this will be affecting me soon. Did you ask your RE's office? Maybe they can at least give you an idea since I'm sure billing submits claims to Oxford all the time.
I hate insurance. As if we don't have enough stress, we should have to deal with this too. GL!

Re: oxford freedom
Hey there! Yes, from how it was explained to me the blood work and sono's are not toward the advanced infertility. The only thing would be, i think the retreival and transfer. I think when I had originally spoke with the finance dept at my re I asked about the contracted rate and I could swear she told me it was like $3800 towards my benifits but I have to find my paperwork to be certain. If I am able to find out anything I will definitely let you know!
