Ow....My Rib....Need help!
Okay, i very rarely complain about anything pregnancy related, but this kid bruised, and possible fractured my rib. The bottom one on my right side, as far towards my back as it gets. The dr. reviewed the sono results again from Wednesday when I called yesterday, and said it's rare that it happens, but the way his foot is lodged up there, its possible he could have fractured it. I think its just bruised - the pain is BAD, but not unbearable. Since they cant do anything anyway for a rib fracture, I'm not going in for XRays and I'm gonna try and relax all day tomorrow. And I still have this cough, and everytime I get into a coughing fit, I feel like my rib is gonna explode! I really hope the next 6 weeks arent gonna be like this
Does anyone know what I can do for it? I'm thinking of trying a heating pad. I dont have time to take a warm bath so thats out of the question. And if I can avoid it, I'd rather not take anything other than tylenol. But I'm out and have to go to the store.

I would try ice on anything that feels like its bruised......help reduce any swelling. Then alternate with heat.
like 20 minutes ice...then an hour with nothing...then 20 minutes heat.
It will help a little bit at least.

This happened to one of the other ladies on the boards - she uses ice for it - but I believe her baby fractured and dislocated her rib - her screen name is MrsPJ - I am sure she would be happy to offer some suggestions if you FM her
