Owen Wilson Asks for Privacy During "Difficult Time"
Owen Wilson, who was hospitalized on Sunday for undisclosed reasons, has issued a statement. The 38-year-old actor says, "I respectfully ask that the media allow me to receive care and heal in private during this difficult time."
Hospital spokeswoman Cynthia Harding told the AP that Wilson was "in good condition" but did not confirm rumors that the actor had attempted suicide.
Wilson's family members, including brothers Luke, 35, and Andrew, 43, were spotted leaving the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles late Sunday night. The Santa Monica Police issued a statement of their own, saying, "At 12:10 PM, officers from the Santa Monica Police Department responded to assist the Santa Monica Fire Department paramedics with a medical aid call in the 900 block of 23rd Street."
Wilson will appear in the upcoming release The Darjeeling Limited, and recently signed on to star opposite Jennifer Aniston in the film adaptation of bestselling book Marley & Me.
