Ovidrel
So Dr. Kofinas thinks it may be a good idea for me to boost with Ovidrel this cycle.
This was my first cycle using Clomid and I have been on Metformin.
Anything I should know about Ovidrel?

Re: Ovidrel
Not sure what kind of info you're looking for. I've always triggered using Ovidrel. It's a form of HCG so if you take a pregnancy test for about 10 days after the injection, you'll get a false BFP. Other than that, the injection is easy to administer and I never had any side effects.

Ovidrel
I did not have any side effects from it. I had to give myself the injection on a Fri night and the did b2b IUI on Sat and Sun. I was also on clomid.

Thanks ladies!
I wasn't really sure what it was and thought it was what everyone refers to as the "trigger shot". So I googled "trigger shot" and this came up as one of the brands.

Re: Ovidrel
I triggered with Ovidrel when we conceived my DS. It didn't hurt much at all. I injected my upper thigh. I believe it had to be refrigerated. Nothing else about it stands out. It was 3 yrs ago. Will be using it again when we TTC next month.
My protocol included Metformin, Clomid, and Ovidrel, and Crinone. We were successful our 1st cycle trying.

Thanks Ladies!
I was instructed to take the Ovidrel shot today as soon as possible and since I had it in my bag I did it at work. It didn't have to be refrigerated and I was told to inject it in my abdomen like lovenox.
So hopefully that shot combined with Metformin and Clomid this cycle will give me a great present on Christmas!
