Ovidrel - Advice needed!

I have to do the Ovidrel shot tonight at 11pm. Is there any advice that you can offer to make this a less painful experience? DH is going to give me the shot.

its really not painful to begin with. if you want you can ice the area for about 5 minutes directly with an ice cube. when you cant feel the ice anymore, the area is numb. then alcohol the spot, just squeeze the skin and inject. its not a big deal AT ALL and you will barely feel a thing. you may feel more after the inject is over than while its actually happening.

This is it exactly! I didn't ice or anything. I was sooo nervous but it really didn't hurt. The spot was a little sore for the next day or so but nothing terrible. Good luck!

ITA....Also, I found letting it come to room temp helped also (maybe not feeling the cold fluid going inside). GL!!!

oh its nothing at all, just pick your skin and that will feel more than the shot...lol

I suggest leaving the needle in for 5 seconds once the fluid is out to avoid leakage!!
