Overnight in NYC help...
In March, DH and I will celebrate our anniversary in NYC. Bella is staying with her Aunt and we'll probably try to head into the city in the afternoon.
I am almost positive we will do dinner at STANTON SOCIAL...LOVE that place...but if you have any other suggestions of a fabulous dinner, that would be great too (I was torn between Stanton and Nobu)
What I need help with is a fabulous, mid-range hotel (I was looking at SOHO GRAND and a boutique-ey BLUE MOON) Any suggestions? I don't have to stay anywhere specific, just somehwere great.
ALSO, what to do? I was thinking the BODIES exhibit in the afternoon on Saturday...but what to do AFTER dinner on Saturday?? We are up for anything...
AND...brunch on Sunday??
TIA!

Blue Moon is right across the street from Il Laboratorio del Gelato. My favorite gelato in the city. Reason enough to stay at Blue Moon. Little Giant and Shopsin's would be good for meals.
Have fun!

I love Stanton Social too! The food is crazy good. Just make sure you book soon because it's very popular and weekend tables go quickly As for Nobu, have you been there? We went recently and wasn't that impressed. It was good but didn't justify the price tag imo.

For a Sunday brunch, we enjoy Paradou in the meatpacking district (across from Pastis). They have a great indoor garden room (definitely make a rez). $29 brunch includes your entree and unlimited Champagne cocktails (bellinis, mimosas, kir royales, etc.) We usually have a few cocktails so it's totally a good deal for us!

We've been to Nobu twice and really enjoyed it. I know what you mean about the price tag though...that's why I thought we would try something new.
Thanks for the suggestions and please keep them coming....would love a great hotel and restaurant suggestion...

As for hotels, DH and I have really enjoyed our stays at the Royalton and Flatotel.
