Ovedrel and HPT ?????

IM confused, why would you take a HPT after i\ovedrel..wont it always comeup positive since its HCG...why would you use it to see if you o'd...im so confused..sorry

i did ovidrel last night.

i plan to use HPTs for a few days to see how long the HCG stays in my body. i dont think you can use it to see if you O. once i start getting negative HPTs, I will know that any subsequent positive tests are actually real BFP's. If I didn't test out the trigger to a negative I wouldn't know if it was a real BFP or just leftover from the trigger.

i am doing this specifically because i dont plan to go for a beta until after March 1st (unless I get a real BFP) which is a few days after AF "should" be due. I will be on progesterone though which can delay AF, so all of that combined is why I am choosing to test out the trigger with HPTs.
