ovarian cysts?
I am not even sure if I should post this question here but I am really hoping someone can help. I had an u/s today and the tech found a 3.4 cm cyst on my right ovary. Does anyone have any experince with them, and if so what was the course of treatment? Thanks.

Re: ovarian cysts?
I think an ob/gyn would be concerned if it were 3 cm or more. Could it be 3.4 mm? I had a sono and the tech said there was a cyst but my RE said it was a follicle. I think it depends on where you are in your cycle and the location.
If it is 3.4 cm, I think they would recommend a biopsy.

Re: ovarian cysts?
I believe they will put you on birth control pills for that. The hormones should make it go away.
I had a 9cm cyst two years ago, so 3.4cm is definitely possible. 3.4mm wouldn't be worth measuring - they would just think it was a follicle at that size. JMO.

Re: ovarian cysts?
Thanks for the comments - I called my obgyn today and it is 3.4mm so no worries. Thanks again.
