Outer Banks rentals
So, a few families from my daughter's school are thinking of renting a beach house the last week of August, as a last hurrah for the kids And somehow, I've been put in charge of organizing this thing even though I know NOTHING about the Outer banks!
Can anyone get me started? What are the best towns to rent? What websites are the best for rental properties?
Thanks!!

Re: Outer Banks rentals
As far as towns, I guess it kind of depends what you want as far as activities. We stay in Corolla (spec. Whalehead beach) because it's a little quieter, but still stuff to do (see the lighthouse, shop, jeep tour up north). We have been going 6 years now and love it! We have rented from a few different companies and never really had a bad experience. I found Resort Realty really easy to use. We also used Sun & Brindley, but didn't love the house with Brindley as much. It might have just been the house though. It's such a nice (fairly relaxing) vacation! Let me know if you have any questions!

Re: Outer Banks rentals
We stayed in Hatteras last year. I thought it was great. We used Midgettreality.com It's convenient to all the things you need as well as the ferry to get to Okaroke Island. There's enough to do with the kids and you can rent anything you need...bikes, kayaks, etc. There a lots of small towns with the amenities you will need.
