Outdoor trampoline-- any recommendations?
DD is obsessed with jumping on the trampolines at gymnastics. I'd love to get her one for outside at our house, but don't want a huge one that takes up our whole yard (and don't want to spend a forture either, but want it to last for a while)....obviously one with the enclosure around it, etc.
Where's a good place to shop for them, price-wise?
I was considering buying her a bounce-house type thing, but figured a trampoline may be better for her since we can leave it up, etc.
Thanks!

Re: Outdoor trampoline-- any recommendations?
How old is your DD? Small, right? She would be too young for a large trampoline based on safety studies. But also -I have one and they are a huge PITA, kids can get hurt so easy in them. My DS who is 7 1/2 did not zip the safety net all the way down one time and he came flying out, and smashed into a wrought iron chair that was 4 feet away. Amazingly, he didn't get hurt but if you saw the trajectory and force with which he came flying out (of a very narrow space), you'd never want one. My DH is more laid back about it but ever since then, I am so afraid of the trampoline and would love to take it down. The kids absolutely love it but it's a very worrisome item to have in the yard. They do sell a small one kid trampoline that has an enclosure and is only a foot off the ground. It woudn't excite an older kid, even though they say it holds 150 lbs (our large one only holds 225 lbs, which my DH disputes all the time until it comes falling down someday ) but it might work for your DD.

No reccomendations on trampolines ( I'm been afraid of them since seeing my friends DS break his arm on one )
But in case you didn't know, TRU has a 20% off coupon on trampolines good for today and tommorrow only (rewards members)

I would definately go with the small one Liz posted if anything...in my opinion..they can be dangerous. My DD got hurt on our friends larger one and I dont let her on them anymore.

Sears has a 14' one on sale with the enclosure for i think $245 or less. I can't remember now. I saw it at the mall the other day. I almost bought it, but DH says that our insurance company might drop us

I would get a bouncy house. I am not a fan of trampolines at all. My brother broke his ankle one time and wrist another.

When we purchased our current home the insurance company wasn't going to cover us if we had one. We didn't realize that we did have one and they never checked but we took it down. It was old huge and I never let the kids on it anyway.
