Out of birth control.
I just realized I have 2 days left of my b/c. I am on it for medical reasons.. My OB doesn't accept my health insurance anymore and I thought I had another refill on it... I haven't had time to shop around for a new dr. I can't be off of it for more then 2-3 days or I get very sick.. Can I get a new prescription from my PCP? Can I go to a clinic? I am panicking now..

Before you panic call the Pharmacy and see what the cost is. When I was in between jobs and had no insurance for one month it cost me $30 to fill it without insurance. So it wasn't terrible.
Also, call your old OBGYN. Explain the situation to them. They may call you in a one month refill.

I've called my PCP when my gyn was closed for holidays and he's written me 1 month.

I agree with both above.
OB not taking your insurance shouldn't affect your RX, call him up
PCP can put in the script for all sorts of stuff. I called mine to write out a shampoo RX for me because I didn't want to go see the Dermatologist! LOL
And yes call up the Pharmacy. I nearly lost my mind once for AJ's antibiotics (she was 2m old) and round and round I went, only to find out that out of pocket/out of insurance it was $17! I ended up paying for it myself

I would ask your primary dr for a script to hold you over, and explain to them the situation. I doubt they would have a problem with it

Your ob can probably just extend the prescription one month - I'd just call them up and ask.

I definitely agree that you should call your current obgyn & see if they can give you an extra refill. Explain your situation re: insurance and maybe they even have a 1 month sample of the pills you are on that you can go pick up from them for free.

Thank you everyone... I will call my ob tomorrow and see if they will call me in a refill and if not I will call and ask my PCP..
