OUCH--bikini shaving issue!

So if you don't wax, what do you do?

I can't take the shaving anymore...my skin down there is getting angry! Chat Icon

So what are other options besides waxing???

Ummm, misery. Waxing didn't work, lasers are too expensive and aside from wearing a puritanical bathing suit, shaving is my only option.

Nair makes a "sensitive" version for the bikini area. Doesn't last any longer than shaving, but you don't get the annoying itchy red bumpies.

Also, "Bikini Zone" cream is GREAT - you use it after you shave/wax/use Nair and it totally stops the red bumps before they start. Or stops the itching if you already have them. You can get it at any drugstore. It's wonderful.

I've had quite an "angry" time recently as well ... with waxing (I could never shave, it'd be even worse!!) and using Bikini Zone!! Annoying!!

Re: OUCH--bikini shaving issue!

Laser hair removal was my friend. It's the BEST thing I ever did for my bikini line. 3 - 5 treatments and I haven't shaved in 3 years. It is well worth the expense in my opinion.

Re: OUCH--bikini shaving issue!

I try and get waxed but when I can not and i have to shave. I have found that if i shave the way the hair grows, i do not get a rash. When I shave against the way it grows thats when i get the rash.

Re: OUCH--bikini shaving issue!

Is there a reason you don't want to wax?

I was very scared about going the first time, but it's really not that bad! I go every 5 weeks now and it's definitely worth it. The hair grows back much thinner and it hurts less each time I go.

Also, the hair takes longer to grow back than with shaving. Now, I get at least 1 full week of NO hair at all, then it starts to grow in a bit. It doesn't get stubbly though, so I never have to worry about anything poking out of my bathing suit!

FM me if you want more info or have any questions.

I have gotten waxed many, many times but I hate the grow in process...and waiting until it's long enough! I agree it's a better option but iit's also costly!
