Orientation class at Winthrop
DH and I just came back.
It was very informative. Especially since they had a pediatrician present and explained what they did from the 1st minute the baby is born until the baby is released.
Then there were A LOT of questions from parents to the pediatrician, whether when baby was in the hospital and at home and some basic care. Thanksfully, we had a lot of participating parents.
The actual hospital orientation (not a tour!!) was given by a delivery nurse. She explained where to park, where to go, waiting rooms. There was a slide shows of the different areas of the New Life Center. How it works with photos of where everything happens (LDR), nursery, visit hours, etc... rules of the hospital, discharge of mom and baby.
I asked DH if he thought it was a waste of time and he said no.
I thought it was a good presentation!
