Organizing Toys?
We have a finished basement that we'd like to make into a play room. Right now the toys are just all over the place. I need to figure out a way to organize these toys without spending a ton of money, please share with me your tips. The things annoying me the most are the little people toys because they are all pretty big and I feel like I'm just ping to end up with everything in plastic totes

Re: Organizing Toys?
We have a 12 cubby organizer from target. It's 3 feet wide and maybe 5 feet tall, and we got the fabric drawers for them. Each type of toy goes in it's own bin. Ex all superheros go in one, ninja turtles in another etc
The taller things like the bat cave or pirate ship go along the top
You could also lay the cubby thing on it's side so that the top shelf is lower and easier for a munchkin to access

Re: Organizing Toys?
we got this set from PBK with nice wicker baskets for some of the cubbies. It was expensive but it looks really nice and is well made. The drwers come in handy too. I would suggest a unit like this.
IKEA has some great cheap options as well.

Re: Organizing Toys?
We have the flat top shelving unit from land of nod. It is well made, and their customer service is outstanding.

Re: Organizing Toys?
We got a low bookcase from ikea for about $35 that holds toys that are in one piece or come in their own containers (I.e. Carton of Legos, little people SUV, etc.). It's the billy collection.
We got a storage organizer with bins - the kind where there are open bins on an angle - it holds 12 bins, some large, some small and we organized all her toys in there. The organizer is about $60.
Her kitchen holds all her foods and pots.
We put each puzzle in its own 2 gallon ziplock bag, and those are all in a large basket from home goods.
Big toys (klip klop stables, little people house, etc) are just neatly lined up on the perimeter of the room.
