Organized vs Unorganized

I am an organized person. I like to keep my house clean and like to keep my dates and schedules in order. When I have a bday party for the boys I keep track of who's coming and like to get a good head count.
I know things happen. A family of 4 may not be able to go last minute, which is fine. THat doesn't effect things much.
I give people notice for get togethers, parties we are having, etc. No, I don't mind a last minute stop over or get together. No, I don't mind changes bc it happens and I have done it before too.
I guess my vent is my sister. She knows that she and my BIL are disorganized. She has 6 kids. Yes, 6. They don't plan ahead and they are all over the place and last minute people. That's totally fine and I can't imagine being able to be organized with 6 ones to care for. I love them, they're family. I guess the vent is it's not once in a while I get last minute things thrown at me... it's all the time. 6 kids is a lot of birthdays through the year. She doesn't throw big parties, whic is fine, but I will call the week before saying... So and so's bday is coming up. What are you guys doing? She doesn't have an answer and usually the day before it's... we are going to dinner tonight or tomorrow at 7PM, etc. See you there. It's not for one kid it's for all of them including her and my BIL.
So DS's bday is in a few weeks and when I was talking to her I asked if they're coming. She said her oldest has dance competition and they may or may not come. Could change that day. I understand there's competition, but it's just annoying b/c it's not a few people making a difference. It's 8 people. SHe always makes little comments like... oh, well you like things in order and blah, blah.
Or... I know you like to know exact, etc.
For instance I said it's weird I haven't heard about DS's extended school year yet and she said well, you like to be prepared and need to be organized (kinda making fun). It's supposed to start in 3 weeks.
Ugh!
Sorry so long. Just venting. Most of my friends are like me. I am not looking to only be with pple 100% organized. I'm not always and I do have some friends more disorganized then others. It's just when it always effects others on a regular basis it gets frustrating.

Can you maybe call ahead of time and ask her about what day she was thinking for her family's birthday celebrations?

I am not super organized but I like to plan so I get your frustration (like my post the other day about getting 5 days notice for a birthday party.

My SIL is like this and it drives me bonkers but she only has 1!!! She is just a space cadet. It never fails tho! We can call and ask if she has plans for her sons bday and she says I havent thought about it yet. We in turn make plans and the day of while we are out doing our thing she calls and says shes doing something and its that day!!! Its so annoying bc I like you are organized with everything...pretty much LOL! I slacked since Ive had DD
