Ordering invites from etsy
I'm sure plenty of people have done this. I never have and am just wondering how it works out? I found an invite for sil baby shower on etsy and they send you the file and have it printed somewhere. What has been your experience with this?

Ordering invites from etsy
I did this for my niece's baby shower. They can either send you the digital image of just one invite or you can ask them to do 2 invites on one page and print them at home yourself.
I did two 5x7 invites on one sheet and then printed them on my computer at home and used a paper cutter at my office to cut them. It was very easy.
You can also upload them online to a photo printing website and they can print them out individually for you as well.

I just did this a few weeks ago and bought the digital image. She emailed it to me within an hour. Then I downloaded it to walgreens album and ordered photocards. Walgreens usually has a sale on these. I got 30% off. Sometime they have 50% off. I had the invitations ready within 3 hrs of ordering the image from etsy and bc of the promo code I only spent $37 for 40 invitations and that included the etsy image.

I think it is all i will ever use! Fabulous experience. Got the file sent to me. Uploaded it to Costco and printed there. SO cheap, easy and great looking invites!

Great! Thanks. My next question is, when you send the file, how does it work? What is the file considered? A print? I'm sorry if this is a silly question lol. I want to make sure I do it right.

They'll probably send you instructions along with the file. I was sent the file in two ways- as a pdf that I could print on my computer at home or as a 5x7 jpeg that I could send out to shutterfly or CVS or something similar to have printed. I was told just to treat it as I would a normal 5x7 photo- and I could choose if it was glossy or matte. I wound up printing them at home on cardstock I had. It was easier for me that way.

I just did this and printed from vistaprint wit ha coupon so easy. Asked for the invites to be 5x7 so I can purchased it with vistaprint

idk if ur sellers offers but we did not get envelopes with ours and it was a bit of a pita to find the right size but def would do it again bc i love the way them came out

How exactly did you do this? Did you upload to staples website? What size did you get? I need 5x7 invites and was thinking of using staples....how many print on a sheet? Thanks!

i had to use staples computer to send them to a worker on her computer
it was like 1.20 lol for 2 min of internet time
then she went on saw the email and printed...the seller from etsy made it 2 invites per page...was 5x7
so we needed 50 invites,paid for 25..got them on card stock
here is where the cost can come in ...when they get printed(and maybe this was just ours) there is a white border around the whole paper and then one separating the two invites
so u can def cut it yourself..i did nto trust myself or my shaky hand so we paid them to do it
came to about 60 bucks for everything in staples which was still cheaper

I ordered my wedding invites from someone on etsy that handmade each individual one! She did a phenomenal job! I have no experience with the file one though sorry!

I just have to say that I just completed my order. I was so nervous I would mess it up. It was so easy and so much cheaper. I will never order invites from anywhere else again. I uploaded to Costco and asked the vendor to make the file the greeting card size to get the free envelopes Paid $20 for the file and $20 for 75 invites including envelopes! I'm so proud of myself lol!!!

I just picked up my invites. They were printed on photo paper. The guy said it's the only way the 6 x 7 1/2 greeting cards get printed. I just assumed they were going to be printed on regular thick paper like an invite. Is this normal? And is it bad if I send them out on photo paper?
