Dumb question-do you need to buy a new digital reader monthly or can you just buy the strips?

I am going to buy the CBE ovulation kit and it only comes with 7 testing strips. The CBE digital fertility kit is somewhat different, I think. WHere do you get the strips for the ovulation kit? Thanks for helping this newbie.

to my knowledge that kit doesn't have refill strips- so you have to buy the kit each month.
You can also just buy the OPK tests - rather than the one w/ the reader..... they look like PG tests but are ovulation tests. HTH.

The CBEFM (monitor) is $$$$ and the strips are pretty $$$ also. I bought that when we frst started charting but found that it didn't do me any good as I have PCOS and don't ovulate on my own.
I think I bought the refill strips for that on Amazon as well as ebay for different months.......

The CBE ovulation kit only comes with 7 and each time you have to by a new one... When the RE first had me start monitoring at home I had asked the pharmacist about this and found out that they do not see refill strips for that.

The CBEFM like stated before is $$$$ and the strips are also expensive... I had bought it thinking it would save me but in the long run each month you were using all of the strips anyway... Cause the monitor makes you test everyday so it knows your cycle. I was so frustrated by it that I ended up going back to the CBE ovulation kit.

I do also use the ones with the two lines but sometimes I feel like they confuse me... Sometimes the line is there and not so dark... Sometimes it's really dark... So, in my opinion the digital CBE ovulation kit still proves to be the best...
