opinions needed on birthday party ideas
I am throwing hubby a 40th surprise party and am in the middle of planning. It is going to be a baseball theme. So far, I rented a popcorn machine, cotton candy machine and snow cone machine (it was a package deal) set up like a concession stand, I am having cookie favors and I got a cake. I will be having a place do the BBQ on site.
Now I was thinking about getting those small baseball helmets to make ice cream sundaes in. Is that too much?
Any other suggestions are welcome too. Thanks.

No I think it's cute. You can even give those away as favors, if you wanted to. Sounds so fun!

Yes!
When doing a theme like baseball, more is never too much. I think it sounds great.

Will your DH think it is overboard? It is a cute idea, but also similar to every bar mitzvah I went to in 1995 I like the idea of the ice cream sundaes in the hats more than the snowcone/popcorn/cotton candy machines though!!

Honestly...between the popcorn ,cotton candy, snow cone and adding the ice cream I do think its a bit much.

I think the ice cream in the helmets and crackerjacks are awesome! I think that keeps within the theme without it getting into the territory of a kids party.

Agreed. We did that for a World Series party at my office! And we're all *sort of* adults. Everyone loved it.
