Oops. Put butter in pea soup. Will it completely suck?
I'm making two soups right now...both have similar starting points to the recipes (olive oil, sautee onions)...only I added butter to sautee the onions for the pea soup, when it was actually meant for the other recipe...and I only realized it now, when the split peas have already been added to the pot.
Whoops. Anyone know if it'll taste ok?

I've never met a recipe that isn't better for the addition of butter.
And I've had pea soups that are rich and buttery.
I think it should be fine!!!

And I've had pea soups that are rich and buttery.
I think it should be fine!!!
Thanks! I was just going to post that all is well. I just blended it and it came out awesome. I might have to accidentally add butter every time I make it...

I often put a small knob of butter in my thicker soups to finish them anyway. YUM!
