Ooops
I just accidentally ate brie! Oh, well, I'm pretty sure I'll be okay.
Is it wrong that I want to finish the other half of the baguette since I already tucked in?

Re: Ooops
Don't worry - I ate an ENTIRE Spinach Pie by myself over 2 days. I think the Feta was Pasteurized, but I am still not positive.
Everything in moderation, right?

Re: Ooops
if you got it from a deli it's probably pasteurized (b/c it's probably domestic). you should be fine - eat the other half!!!

Re: Ooops
Thanks everyone. I did visit the shop's website - they have a menu with the nutritional info and it said Not Safe for Pregnant Women So it must be unpastuerized
But you know, I've eaten brie TONS of times and I've never had an infection due to listeria, I don't think it's likely to happen now.
OMGBFP - I read that unpastuerized cheeses that are cooked through are fine!

you most likely wouldn't have felt affected by listeria in the past - it would just be a little upset stomach for you. for babies, though, it's dangerous and can cause miscarriages, that's why they tell us to stay away from it.
i am sure you are fine though. just have cheddar form now on!!

Re: Ooops
I think as long as you don't have it every day, I think you should be fine!! I sneak things I shouldn't here and there!
