onto IVF...
Well, I went for my beta this morning... they havent called yet but I tested yesterday and it was a BFN. My next step is IVF... I was reading over the packet...wow!
Please tell me it is much easier than it seems. I am deathly afraid of all the injections, not producing enough eggs, cycles being canceled, eggs not getting fertilized, not getting pregnant!!
Tell me I am just overwhelmed. DH and I have unexplained infertility. My RE seems confident that I can get pg, but this whole process is scary.
Is it easier after the egg retrieval? Does another cycle (if you get frosties) require all the same shots?
Will they make me wait a cycle before starting? How long does an IVF cycle generally take?
Sorry for all the questions... just a bit overwhelmed.

Re: onto IVF...
I'm sorry about your BFN
Yes, IVF is extreamly overwhelming, but that said, for me, it was much scarier in my head than it was in reality.
From start to finish it takes about 6 weeks.
I don't know if they will make you wait a cycle or not, with everything involved (insurance authorizations, ordering meds, etc...) by the time you get started, it could be 1 cycle. But they can manipulate that with putting you on BCP.
As far as doing a cycle with frozen embies. You would have to take daily injections of Lupron, but not as many injections/meds as a fresh IVF cycle.
Good luck!

Re: onto IVF...
It really wasnt as bad as I thought it would be.. its all overwhelming but if you take it day by day its NOT bad at all... Im not going to lie.. it does take a lot of dedication and waking up early for early monitoring and blood but as far as the injections go, it was EASY after 3 days...
Good luck to you!!!!

I totally agree with taking it day by day. Hopefully, you will experience the dizzy whirlwind that is your first IVF cycle, get a BFP and never need to get comfortable with the process!!!
But my experience has been that nurses and my RE are there to help if I call them when I need it. Good luck!!!!

Re: onto IVF...
Every dr is different but we had a whole checklist of things that we needed to do before IVF. Water sono, breast sono and a whole lot more. Luckily i was able to do everything while I had my IUI so I was ready to go when the cycle failed (obvioulsy i was hoping for the best). As other's mentioned the whole process took about 6 weeks but i think it might also depend on if you are BCP.
It's definetely overwhelming at first but worth it in the end!!! Just take things day by day.
