One Year Old Fussy Eater

My son turned one a week ago today and he is still not off jarred food. I keep offering him more and more table food but he doesn't seem overly interested. He LOVES to feed himself cheese and organic puffs, I've tried bread, even though not the healthiest choice, just to see what he'd do and he will pick at it. I've cut up blueberries and he will eat a few and then be done with it. To see if he's just full, I'll offer him cheese or Puffs and he will eat those with gusto. But that can't be all he eats! Now that he's almost off formula I need to make sure he's getting what he needs but I want him off jarred foods bc I think he's already too old for that. Has anyone else gone through this or does anyone have ideas? I just cut up a boiled egg and he refused it; I tried a banana cut up and he's refusing that, too. Yesterday he refused avocado. I don't get this!!!!

He is a healthy height and weight:

My son is the same way and is 12.5 months. He is still on stage 3 jars and will eat puffs and that's it. He only has two teeth still so I'm hoping when more break through he will get better at eating table foods. I'm trying not to stress bc I know every baby is different. At his 1 yr appt he was 32 inches and 21.5 lbs so in the normal range as well. I have no advice but just wanted to say I can relate!

So glad to know someone else is in a similar boat! That definitely does help. And DS only has one tooth lol it broke through about 2-3 weeks ago and is still "growing."

my ds is teh same way.. has been that way even before he turned one. I try to give him things he will eat- usually pasta and veggies, but not the protein. The doctor said not to worry. He is a good weight and good height. If he is having a particularly bad day, i will give him formular just to make sure he got enough in that day..

I have twin boys & one needed feeding therapy. We were told to NEVER use stage 3 foods because its confusing to them with too many textures mixed. They are also gross have you tried them. Its better to try table food. I still feed them puree veggies because one of my boys wont eat veggies any other way. You will figure out whats best for your child.

I am having tons of table food issues with my dd as well
Shes 14.5 months and eats table food but will have a few pieces and be done with it. Im still giving her puree veggies and fruit to make sure she eats but getting her to sit down and eat a whole meal of table food is a struggle. I try to stick to stuff she likes. Some days are better than others.

She only has 3 teeth so im thinking gumming the food is annoying to her so she gets frustrated and doesnt want to eat.

My issue is more getting her to sit down long enough to finish a meal.

Eta: my dd does the same thing with puffs. She would eat those all day if i let her.

Hahahah awwww steak!! I let him have a couple pieces of my burger yesterday actually (from local butcher, not McD's lol) and he enjoyed it!

I found it EXTREMELY scary!!! Definitely a huge adjustment for Mommy. (Especially neurotic Mommy.)
