One of Those Weeks

DD is 7 mos old and just caught her first cold last weekend. Poor thing. She just has congestion and a runny nose so it could be worse but of course, I feel terrible. Still has lots of energy, just loss of appetite and sleeping more. She passed it on to me and I am ridiculously congested and have been lucky that work has been letting me work from home all week. Now DH doesn't feel well too.

On top of that, she fell off our bed on Monday. I was sitting on the bed holding her and she just took a nosedive. It was so unexpected and I thought she was going to land on the bed but took a tumble to the hardwood floor instead!

I think the shock of it scared her more than anything and she was not actually hurt. She cried for a few mins and was fine after some comforting. I took much longer to stop crying. Terrible mommy moment and the guilt was off the charts.

This week cannot end soon enough.

Hope you all feel better soon. Don't feel guilty about your dd falling. We've all had moments like that happen.

Yeah, it's so exhausting emotionally when it's one thing after the next. Don't feel guilty about her falling on the floor, these things are bound to happen & she is fine! I was holding the baby & he suddenly slammed his head into the edge of the table & was crying so much that I felt really bad... it didn't help that my mom happened to be right there & guilted me even more. But it's not your fault! Hope you all feel better soon!!
