One of my worst mommy fears came true
This morning I was walking down the stairs with Travis in my arms and wham I fell down the steps with him in my arms. I held onto him so tight, and he almost hit his head on the step. We both cried. He was startled and I was upset. I just feel like a dumba$$ for falling down the step.
Luckily he isn't hurt and I just have a few bruises on my leg.

So sorry This is something I fear too. DS is 16 months and 30 lbs and so I'm always worried about a fall and being able to protect him. Sounds like you did a good job holding him and keeping him from getting hurt. Hope you aren't too sore/hurting later.

Glad you are okay-I did the same thing with DS.
He wacked his head on the wall, luckily he still had his DOC helmet on-I was so thankful that he had been wearing a helmet for 3 months just for this very occassion (who would have thought???)

I fear this as well. Our house is all wood floors. I keep telling DH I'd like to get a runner for the steps.

I'm glad you are both ok
I fell down the stairs when I was holding the infant carrier. Luckily DD was fine and I just had scraped knees and hands.
