Mohegan Sun or Foxwoods?
I don't gamble but they are great get aways- especially Mohegan Sun!
Or a hotel out east like Hotel Indigo and go to the wineries and outlets?

For one night, I wouldn't go too far...I feel like it eats up too much of your time traveling. We usually do Manhattan for one night. We've also gone to Fire Island for one night.

I was in Spring Lake NJ last weekend and that was really nice. But a lot places like the shore and Fire Island or Montauk have 2-3 night mins in the summer so Manhattan may be the way to go.

This! We love Mohegan and we're not even big gamblers. The rooms are beautiful and there are lots of great places to eat. Groupon and Living Social both have deals too depending when you're going.

I would recommend Greenport. I'm not sure how easy it is to find a hotel/B&B that allows one night stays though...
