One-handle kitchen faucet?

I'm about to order my kitchen faucet and I just want to make sure that a one handle unit is the way to go, as opposed to having separate handles for hot and cold.

I'm wondering if this is anything like the double sink vs. large single sink question, where there is a clear winner.

This is the faucet I plan to purchase (it does have a pull-out spray):

I am renting right now, but our sink has a faucet like the 1st one you posted and we love it!!! The sink itself is really big & deep too!!! When we finally get to buy a house I want the same exact sink & faucet in my kitchen!!!

Re: One-handle kitchen faucet?

I prefer the one handle. Just easier to work with to turn on, to adjust water temp.

love one handle - that is what we have now, so much better than 2 IMO - easier to control temp...

One handle all the way.. so much easier to control temperature and you can do it one handed, whereas two handles are more of a chore

One handle is so much easier, and nicer looking, IMO.

I have one handle (it's located in the back though). I love it. I like symplicity and convenience.

I like a one-handle that you can flip on with a wrist or the back of the hand. That way if you're cooking and your hands are covered in egg or something gooey and bacteria-y, you don't have to worry about cleaning the faucet handle!
