OMG the meds
So we will be starting our IVF cycle at the end of August but the pharmacy delivered all my meds to me yesterday. They delivered them to my work so I didn't look through them till I got home. I was scared i might loose something if I started unpacking stuff at work. Anyhoo... I got home and started going through all the RXs and making sure that everything was there.
After all was accounted for, I took a step back and looked at all these boxes and bottles of meds and syringes and got VERY intimidated. I'm so nervous now. I'm scared that I will do something wrong or that I will screw something up.

Re: OMG the meds
I had the exact same thoughts as you!! The box is VERY intimidating.
I do wish that my center gave me some sort of clalendar or personal outline of how my meds will most likely progress, but someone mentioned that North Shore purposefully doesn't give you all that info up front so as not to overwhelm you. I wasn't sure how I felt about that at the time, still not sure now, but for now I'm just taking it one day at a time!
BTW, do any of your Rxs need to be kept at a certain temp? I have a few that go in the fridge, easy enough, but there is one that is first a powder and a liquid, and before it's mixed together it has a very specific temperature range, which is kind of hard to match during these super hots days!!!
Good luck!!!!

Re: OMG the meds
You will do fine...everything will be explained to you at the RE's office and you'll be taught how to dial up your dose and fill your syringes, etc... Good luck :)

yeah i think I'm like u.. i think since this is my 1st time ever taking hard core meds.. I would rather have a guideline to follow but there wasn't one provided for me so I'm just freaking out now. As far as temp controlled meds, whatever needed refrigeration i just stuck in the frindge and adjusted the temp to match whats it needed to be and all the rest the pharm told me would be fine at room temp. My house stays pretty cool all day so I'm not too worried.

Re: OMG the meds
I was intimidated when I got mine too... but they do order extra in case you need your dose increased. Honestly, I didnt use half of the meds they ordered. Eventually you will be able to donate it to others like I did!!

Re: OMG the meds
It is intimidating at first but then you get the hang out of it. I took all of mine and out and color coded according to my calender of what needed to be taken at what time and group those meds together. It made things feel less intimidating. Good Luck, I'll be thinking of you!
