OMG! flood in our basement!
i went downstairs to do laundry and there's so much water down there! oy!
DH called our landlord and she didnt seem worried and said she'll come by tomorrow evening.
we need a shopvac now!!!

How did it happen?? YUUCK!
DH flooded our basement last week... somehow the sink that the washer drained into over flowed... well he never told me until a week later when i went down to do laundry and all the clothes on the floor were still SOPPING wet and SMELLY! STUPID MAN!

we're not sure how it happened...it rained for like 10 mins earlier tonite, but it didnt come in from the window, so we think a valve from the washingmachine may have burst... oy!

Marnie - oh that stinks! Do you have anything down there that you store? Or is it just the washing machine and dryer? Could it have been some sort of leak from your housemates next door?

my dad came out and brought his shopvac.
he got all the water, but he couldnt find anything that would have flooded the basement like that.
nothing so far is ruined-- just some moving boxes we were saving for future use....
we'll have to see what the landlord says later when she comes over
