She's probably just upset because SHE's not ready to be a grandma. You should let your husband know how you feel and have him speak with her. If I were you I wouldn't have anything to say to her until she got over herself and was ready to be more supportive. Good luck to you. Everything always works out. You're going to get more love from this little baby than you can imagine, and bieng a mom will come naturally. This is a wonderful time in your life, don't let anyone bring you down.

This is my 1st kid, The 1st in his family and i thought she would be excited and she was so mean, I told dh and he is going to sitdown and talk to her, Also she called me back today and i handed off the phone to dh. sHe is a witch at time. I thought if i told her today she would be happy and i guess not, i hope she will change or her grandchild wont get to know her.

THIS JUST HAPPENED TO ME THIS WEEK!!! UGH!!!
Long story short (there's a post on here entitled "Told my MIL..."), we told her and she responded with "OH NO!!!" DH and I were devastated. She FINALLY called me back today, and said she was sick over this and she hasn't slept in the past four days. I told her GOOD because what you said to us was mean and heartless, especially coming from the religious person that you are. I really got her with that one.
Bottom line is, YOU and DH are adults. It's up to YOU if/when you decide to conceive. Being pregnant is a amazing and having a baby is a MIRACLE, especially when it takes so many people SO long to conceive. Tell her that you are upset with what she said and that you want your baby surrounded by POSITIVE people and not such negativity.
PLEASE, FM me if you would like to chat. I have STORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRIES!!! ugh!

First off, congrats!
Second, I am so sorry you have to deal with a nasty MIL-I am expecting the same reaction from mine, so we are putting off telling her until the end of the 1st trimester. I am dreading it already. Some people just need to keep their mouthes shut and learn how to be happy for people!
