OMG ARE WE STUPID?
DH & I are going to look at a boat tonight... it's an old one for very cheap!!! he used to have a boat and he has tons of friends that can help us with it if we have major problems... but we still have things to do in the house is this going to be more of a headache for us? we always wanted a boat just to go in the bay and hang out and fish... not to go all around the sound...
we keep going back and forth on this!!
we really want it and it's really affordable to buy the upkeep i know can be a pain in the arss but i think it's worth it to be out there!!
we'll see what happens when we get and see what is looks like!!!

We had an old boat just like the one you described. We got stranded out in the sound so many times,but it was worth it! We had the best times on that boat. We just sold it last year, but we are going to buy another one maybe next year.
It was great living in Kings Park with the docks right there.

I agree, DH wanted a boat for so long and I said the same thing, we have more important things to do with the house, but I have to say getting the boat was the best thing. We had so much fun last summer.

The saying goings...The 2 happiest days of a boater, the day he buys it and the day he sells it. Boats are a lot of work but they are so much fun. We always had one growing up. I love waterskiing and spending the night out on the water. Its great.
