OLd College textbooks...what did you do with them?
What did you do with all of your old college textbooks? I should have sold them while I was in school but at the time I thought I'd actually look through them again  I haven't looked at them in years and now that I'm moving, I have no idea what to do with them all! Is there a place I can donate them or something?

the ones I didn't sell are sitting in a bookcase at my parents house... I thought I might "need them someday". What was I thinking?

Same here, my mom keeps busting my chops to come over and either take them or throw them out.

You can look them up and see if anyone else is selling theirs and what they list the price as. Then makes yours the lower price. I sold a bunch that were 3 years old.

Mine are in the garbage. I actually just cleaned out my storage closet yesterday and did this. They are over 10 years old now - doubt anyone wants them...esp since I only kept my computer related major books and that changes so quickly. Dh has a box of his accounting textbooks that I asked him to decide - keep just in case or toss..haven't heard back from him yet...

Thanks! I'm going to look at the titles and check out half.com and Amazon. If that doesn't work I'll probably keep a couple and just throw the rest out!

Um, they are all on the bookshelves at my house - and I'm a dork, I've actually used them to reference stuff, even though some of them are 11 years old.

I just ebayed a bunch and made some good money!! I was surprised because some were at least 5 years ago and I am sure it has been updated, but people bought them!

I still use many of my graduate school books as a reference for my job. I found them very useful.

A lot of them I sold on Half.com. This is the perfect time of the year for that too as the kids stock up for school.
Some are still on my bookshelf because I wanted to keep them.

I'm guilty of holding on to some good textbooks too. I've been out of school for a while, and if they haven't sold on half.com bynow, they never will.
I keep meaning to bring them to the public library and donating them, if they even take those kinds of books...
