Old cell phones
Does anyone know where you can donate your old cell phones? I heard there was a need for these.

I brought mine to Radio Shack and they took it. This was a while ago, I would give them a call.

There's a battered women's shelter that takes them, I sent all my old phones when we moved into the house...we had built up quite the collection.

I think you can also take them to a VZW store. They used to have a "HOPELINE" donation box and all phones collected would go to battered women.

if you call your local police precinct, they may take them - we take them where i work and give them to victims of domestic violence who can't afford a phone, so at least they can dial 911

If you commute in, Penn Station has a drop off in the Police Department. I believe they go to a battered woman's shelters.
