Okay............I just cannot anymore!!
Reading the news and hearing what this power hungry, pen happy idiot is doing every day makes me want to vomit. Every day feels worse than the one before it!!
And please for the love of God, explain to me WHY this man is OBSESSED with trying to prove voter fraud with there is simply NO proof of that. Yet..................REAL proof that Russia tampered with the election exists and he doesn't bat an eye or care. Such an ego maniac. I will NOT survive these 4 years with this jack a$$ in power, I pray EVERY day they start impeachment proceedings with him ASAP.

Yes. A gaslighter with a very very fragile ego. The Russian thing is ok because it helped him win the election (and I personally think he had something to do with it along with Guiliani and Erik Prince, who is Betsy DeVos' brother). The voter fraud thing is to make us doubt that he lost the popular vote. He's trying to boost his legitimacy, his power and most of all his ego.
Hofstra, I feel very similarly to you. I try to remember what Bernie Sanders said. We can't give into despair. We must channel our energy into counteracting him, and not give up. I try to do something every day-- call a senator or congressman's office to express my opinion, donate a few dollars to the ACLU, moveon.org, the Sierra Club, sign a petition, attend a progressive activist meeting, a march or protest, even just research an issue that is important to me, about his cruddy nominees or how the confirmation process works exactly so I'm more knowledgeable. I hope that if we all do something, we can minimize the damage and most of all make sure something like this never happens again.

Truthfully, I don't like Pence but I think I'd take him over Trump who to me is an unstable, hot headed, power hungry lunatic without a clue.
I just don't understand what it will take for those that supported him to start at least acknowledging what is going on already. They keep chanting, "MAGA!!! Give him a chance" but guess what?!?!?.......................his actions and words are already speaking for themselves. How any American citizen can be comfortable with all of these executive orders his signing off on in rapid fire is beyond me.
Hey America........................he's NOT in this for you!! He doesn't care about the middle and lower class!! He will work to protect his OWN interests and feed his HUGE ego!! Oh yea!!................and he hasn't a freaking clue what he's doing!!!

A thing that's bothering me is Paul Ryan and the rest of them. They are so desperate to get their stuff done that they are ignoring how maniacal Cheeto is acting. They ACA will be gone, the justice will be elected and then the Republicans will turn on Cheeto. Impeach and put Pence in. I really think that's their agenda. All in the next two years until the next election. Or if Congress goes D in 2018, then the impeachment process will start.
Or Cheeto might just face plant at a State Dinner because he looks really unhealthy to me.

I too would take Pence over Trump. He's not itching to start a war, whether it's a trade war or a real war.
This is horrible to say, but if he does face plant it needs to be public because I can honestly see his minions trying to cover it up and go along as if he's fine while they run the show. (I have probably read too many spy thrillers.) But he does look unwell and he is clearly not enjoying the gig. Then again, I read that he likes to watch tv so that is probably helping him decompress.

I woke up crying this morning.
I just don't understand how people can be so spineless. I am disgusted by every single Republican member of congress that won't speak out against the presidents insane comments about voter fraud.
The president is TELLING RIDICULOUS LIES To the public. RIDICULOUS LIES. This is not excusable. Look at the example he is setting to the rest of the world. He is telling the world that our democracy is weak. Its just beyond words at this point.

I think he is finally realizing the magnitude of the presidency. All along he has been treating it like one long episode of The Apprentice. He had no clue what the enormity of the office was. And being an egotistical megalomaniac, he simply cannot handle the outrage and opposition to his presidency. So he's lashing out and trying to silence people, make us bend to his will. I keep signing petitions and donating and calling my state and federal reps but something has to give. My fear is that Trump supporters won't realize this until it's too late and by then I'll have no sympathy for any of them.

It's such a shit show and completely embarrassing. Basically everything coming from the White House is a LIE. We have a president that is a pathological liar. Not to mention more people from Breitbart have been hired to be his advisors. It's absolutely horrifying that Americans voted for someone so corrupt and disgraceful. Everything Trump has done and signed as executive orders is putting money into his pockets and his cabinet members. It's Trump First. The Republican Party is also full of spineless cowards. It has to stop being about HIM. Period. Someone close to him has to persuade him of the fact that he has to start doing his job and stop getting waylaid and bogged down with HIMself.
And those of us who are sane, no matter what our political beliefs, no matter who we voted for, no matter what anything else....need to KEEP speaking up and donating money and wait for the checks and balances to kick in. The lawsuits, governmental action, think tanks, impact groups...all of them--to start up and use official channels and protections that have to be in place to steer us to a safer course.
I am and always have been 100% fine with republican rule even though I am a democrat. That's democracy in action. THIS is not normal, not ok, and without precedent.

Yes, but maybe Graham and McCain could grow a set and stop confirming all of his cabinet nominees so far, which I believe they both have. This makes me sick.
