ok--someone enlighten me about 24 hour pee test

Now...not only am I deathly ill--someone explain this dang jug I have to pee into for 24 hours..it has to stay refridgerated or on ice.
Do I run downstairs in middle of night 500 times go outside sick to get the jug?
I have no room in the fridge. I was like you have got to be kidding me...
any ideas?

ya pee in the darn jug will ya!! lol how bout u put it on ice in a cooler by the potty!! o wait i just thought u got a windo put it in the window of the bathroom and see if that works!

do you have a cooler that you can fill with ice - or maybe an ice bucket, if the urine container will fit inside?

Ok I had two and the first one they didnt tell me to keep in the fridge, I lept next to the toliet.

The second they told me to refrigerate and Yep, had to keep in the fridge and it barely fit. That container IS HUGE!!!

Hang in there. It stinks!

I almost pee'ed ten times before remembering and then had to clamp em shut and run to get the "jug"

I did this last week- it was a huge PITA. It was a huge jug but I was able to fit it in the fridge, and I put it in a grocery bag and away from all the food. If I'd thought of using a cooler with ice, that would have been better.

I was able to fit the jug in the fridge. I had to pee into a Solo plastic cup, then run to the fridge with the cup...Gross!!!!
It was such a pain in the butt.

I had to take this test about 1 year ago. I needed more than 1 container because I pee often. DH couldn't stomach the container in the fridge, so I didn't refrigerate it. (For my test they didn't seem concerned about keeping it cold, so it might vary.) I did find it easier to go in a cup and then pour it into the container.

I kept mine in a cooler next to the toilet. The most embarrassing part was walking into the lab while it was packed out and having to sit there with it for a very long time

I have a good idea.....

Get a wine bottle to keep the pee in, and keep an ice bucket next to the toilet..... If you really want to jazz things up, also keep some candles burning in the bathroom too.... set the mood....

I have had protein in my urine almost my whole life, so I have been doing one of these every year since forever. Not fun! Now that I am pregnant, I have already done it twice in the past 6 months! I never keep it in the fridge. I keep it right next to the toilet. After my last pee that I collect, I put it in the fridge until I can take it to the lab.

I had to do this in the hospital but it was never refrigerated... they can still detect protein w/o it being chilled....
