Ok Ladies, lets talk Stretch Mark Cream...
I know I'm a little ahead of the game on this, but I want to be prepared. Any recommendations, best/worst? When should you start applying?

Dont believe that cream works...Its basically genetics..either you will or wont get them. Thats been my experience

Re: Ok Ladies, lets talk Stretch Mark Cream...
I use Palmers Tummy Butter - started using the moment my pants started feeling snug - I apply every morning and every evening after my shower.
I also use Johnson and Johnson Baby gel all over my body.
1st pregnancy I only got a stretch marks in my inner thigh because it was the one place I didn't think to put cream on. Now I put the tummy butter on my stomach, breast and inner thigh.

I keep reading that they don't work. I switched my soap to an extra moisturizing soap and I got an organic lotion called Alba which works really well. I put it on every morning after I shower.

That's pretty much my thought process, if it is hereditary at least my skin will feel good. Thanks for rec's ladies!

Re: Ok Ladies, lets talk Stretch Mark Cream...
oo yes.. I was going to post this..
I went out a bottle of baby oil yesterday to lather all over me before I hit the shower..
I haven't bought any special lotions of creams yet.. but so far I am thinking of the following.. can take any and all help..
Cocoa Butter w/ Vitamin E - not sure of Vitamin E is ok?! anyone?
Tree Hut Baby and Me - if anyone has used this, please come in. I'm on the fence. I read that its just a more expensive cocoa butter
Regular old Shea Butter.. heard this works like a charm.
And also, drink tons and tons of water.. keeps your skin supple

Re: Ok Ladies, lets talk Stretch Mark Cream...
I'm just doing baby oil in the shower and regular body lotion. I got stretch marks when I was growing up on my knees and thighs so I'm betting I get them on my belly and I'm not spending $40 on lotion. Good luck!

Re: Ok Ladies, lets talk Stretch Mark Cream...
I didn't use anything fancy - just kept myself moisturized -
Didn't get anything until the very VERY end (may 37 weeks) and then they went away ..........
some say it's genetics though - I have no idea.

Pretty much everything i've read/heard says that stretch marks cannot be prevented with cream. However, I have still been religious with lubing up every day.
I am obsessed with Mama Mio products. They feel and smell amazing. 25 weeks almost, and no stretch marks thus far

Same here! I'm using Palmers b/c my friend gave it to me, but I have read that it is all hereditary! My mom didn't get them so I am hoping that is where the gene is from!

Re: Ok Ladies, lets talk Stretch Mark Cream...
I've been using Palmer's Organic Cocoa Butter at night and so far I don't have any and I'm 35 weeks. In the morning I use Jergen's Naturals because I don't like the way the Palmer's smells. JMO. I did hear that it's genetic, but I figured it can't hurt.

Re: Ok Ladies, lets talk Stretch Mark Cream...
i used this one that stunk so bad. palmers stretch mark lotion for preggos. i have 2 bottles. i couldn't even use it.
now i just use aveeno daily moisturizing lotion. i like it better.
i think you are either going to get them or not get them. but i also think using lotion to moisturize must help at least a little bit.
