Ok, its really hitting me...
That I go on leave on Tuesday until Sept!!!! My first period student aide made me cry this morning telling me how much she will miss me, my students have been so generous with gifts for the baby and even though I feel like crap, I don't want to leave my students.
I am so sad today- I love my job so much and everyone I work with. I am excited to be a mom but worried I am going to miss my job.

Wow....thats a nice break to have but Im sure once you have your little one with you...you will be so busy, enjoying the time you have, you wont have time to think about other things.

awwwwwwww,, once the baby comes it is going to be different!! I love my job as well and don't want to go on leave from April till SEptember but we have to!! keep your head up!!

Im leaving my job in 2 weeks. Today I said "Im sad" and my coworker said "Your leaving for such a great reason"...Im going to keep telling myself that..Its so true.. We are going to be mommies.

I was just thinking of you during my drive home today. I thought, "wow, she's so close" so I'm glad to see this post.
I know how you feel. Being over 35, we've worked for so many continuous years, taken grad classses and put in long hours to build careers so it seems totally foreign to us to not be working for such a long period of time.
Just think of it as a "career move" You are being awarded an additional responsibility with the best non-monetary reward (love) and lots of bonuses... kisses, hugs, smiles and later fingerpainted pictures, popsicle stick jewelry boxes and burned toast served to you in bed on Mother's Day
All of that is priceless and beats any other "job" I can think of
Hope you are feeling well as you count down.

Thanks everyone for all the support- I know this is the silliest thing to be upset over- most people probably read my post and said, what is her problem!- she gets to go on leave and be with her baby. And I know I will feel so happy once she is here.
Thanks Theresa for understanding- I have done this working/career thing for so long, I am worried what its going to be like without that job satisfaction every day.
One thing I realized by this is how much I LOVE my job and the people I work with. I am so lucky its rediculous.
