We are closing tomorrow!! It has taken 3.5 months!!
1. We are using Long Island Moving and Storage; they seem reasonable
2. Our closing costs are about $4000 more than our GFE; I dont know why and must call attorney at 9 am tomorrow
3. I think the utilities are covered; cant think of anything else
good luck

1. We used PODS so I can't help you there. Though I would highly recommend them!
2. Our GFE and closing costs were higher than needed, we actually got money back from the sellers (about $1400).
3. No sewer fees in Nassau that I know of, we paid for LIPA, water, oil and Fios.
Good luck!!

Congrats to both of you - Dont forget Home Owners insurance
I believe we used Moveco a number of years ago and it was a flat rate.

our closing costs were much higher because the taxes were heavily discounted for the prev. owner and we do not get those tax incentives so we had to pay the difference and pay for one year's upfront since we didn't have time to escrow them (was not informed)

My closing costs were right on the money.
All the fees were pretty much exactly as stated in the GFE. The only difference was the escrow taxes, but that was only off by a few hundred.
This time around I am not escrowing my taxes so I won't have to worry about that, numbers should come right in as expected.
