Ohhhh how the tides turn
Flashback to a year ago. My daughter never slept. Never. It took hours to get her to fall asleep and she would wake up at all hours of the night, rising for the day at 5am  It made life for a full-time litigation attorney working mommy immeasurably difficult. In fact, I really don't remember much from those times. I suppose our brains block out sleepless trauma... but, I digress.
Alex has turned into her sleepaholic daddy it seems.
Yesterday, daddy wasn't around to get up with her and get her off to school. Mommy had an 8:30am doctor's appointment, so time was of the essence.
Little miss sunshine decided to sleep in.
6:30am passes. 7:00am passes.
Finally I wake her up at 7:30am, plop her in bed to watch the Disney channel while I get ready.
20 minutes later, I tell her we have to get her dressed for school. As I'm trying to pull the blanket off of her, she's pulling it back onto herself.
Now, you would think, at this point, she would be saying, no mommy, don't go to work, or stay with me, or something like that, right?
Nope. My husband's daughter starts whining, "Nooooooooo mommmy, I'm still sleepy. Leave me alone!"
Now, I'm really starting to see why they compare toddlerhood to adolescence!
Payback is a ****** Alex, isn't it?  I'm creeping up on that score now!

She is so funny!
My DD is the same way, except that it's MY sleepaholic ways that she's inherited. Some days she wakes herself up and is all perky and happy, but other mornings it's "No Mommy, turn off light" or "No, want sleep!" and she'll just turn her back and curl up in bed.

How funny!!!
I seriously hope Thomas becomes like this too!!!! He has been doing SO much better, but Mommy is a sleeper!! I miss it!!!
