Oh, Pregnancy emotions!!!

I just had a major breakdown...AT WORK, no less. So, tomorrow I was scheduled for an early anatomy scan that I have been looking forward to for over a month! We were told we'd find out the sex of the baby and I've been telling my family that January 10th is the day! Well, I call today to confirm the appt because I haven't gotten a confirmation call yet, and the woman on the phone tells me I don't have an appointment for tomorrow and I can't get in until 2 weeks from now! She said there was NOTHING she could do, there was NO room in the schedule to squeeze me in. Chat Icon So I freaked out and started hysterically crying when I got off the phone.

I called DH - who came to the rescue! He called them back and explained the situation. The woman he spoke to was apparently much more understanding and kind and she looked into it further and found that I DO have an appointment, they just put it under someone else who has the same name as me's birth date (that is how they check for appts, birth date). Sooo...crisis averted.

But I am so embarrassed because I was crying at work and everyone was asking me what was wrong. Chat Icon I would normally NOT get so emotional over something like this, but these hormones are crazy!!!

Re: Oh, Pregnancy emotions!!!

Aww so glad your DH was able to straighten everything out for you!

And don't be embarassed, DH's bday was a week before Christmas, I spent 2 hours making a chocolate mousse cake for him from scratch. I put it in the oven and for some reason within 10 min the whole top was burned. I opened the oven and immeadiately burst into tears. DH was just looking at me and didn't even know what had happened. I ran in the bedroom, threw myself on the bed and was literally crying like someone died. DH saved the day too by scraping off the burned part and the cake wound up fine. So you're not alone, these babies make us a little crazy every now and then!Chat Icon

Thanks for understanding. I can totally see myself reacting the same exact way with the cake. Glad it worked out for you too Chat Icon

I totally understand. When my doctor's office called to reschedule my last appointment for the 3rd time, to a time it was going to interfere with work, I started crying, and DH ended up calling them back too! He couldn't do anything about it, but was able to get more information about the situation, b/c I was just too overwhelmed to deal with it! Chat Icon

Re: Oh, Pregnancy emotions!!!

First off I would have reacted the SAME EXACT way if there was any issues with my anatomy scan... I cannot wait for my scan (its next week) and if that happened to me I would cry hysterically like someone took my dog! LOL Dont worry!
I either want to cry or rip someones face off minute to minute! My hormones are totally out of control LOL

Dont worry at least you have a wonderful husband who was able to straighten it out! =)) Theres something to make you smile! AND you got the appt for tomorrow so you have so much to look forward to! GOOD LUCK!
