Offering Price

What do you all think is a fair offer on a house in Greenlawn, both listed at $399?

One house is 4 bedrooms, 2 bath, nice size yard, kitchen and baths need updating. Basement needs some work to finish.

Other house is 5 bedrooms, inground pool, nice yard next to pool, kitchen needs updating as well as one bathroom.

We were thinking of low balling both and say $350 and see what they say and meet in the middle????

Re: Offering Price

I def. think that sounds fair....we really low balled our first offer, I started out $65K less!! if it needs work, I'm sure they're going to entertain low offers, and prob. counter offer.

good luck!!!

Our house was listed at 429,000 and we came in at 400,000. It was crazy back and forth and definately got complicated when someone else put in another offer!!! My point you say?? Definately low ball them, if they don't like the offer, let them counter and work from there!!Chat Icon GL!!!!!!!!

Re: Offering Price

Well, I'd figure out how much you are willing to pay for each house and offer lower than that so you have some room to get to your target number. If you get it for less, than great!

ETA: We were willing to pay 40K less than asking price for our house and no higher, so we offered 60K less. When they countered, we ended up getting it for less than what we were willing to pay.
