Looking at a house on Homecrest Court right off Long Beach Road. Its the block of that Restaurant Mia Poso. Anyway at the end of the block is the lot for thr admin building and castleton hs. My dh is very concerned being so close. Any thought? TIA

Re: Oceanside people help me out
I grew up in Oceanside. My initial thought is I wouldn't want to live off of LB Road. That road can be a nightmare. I would think with the restaurant and the Frasada spa at one end and the school/admin building (btw- that school is the kindergarten center also) the block might get crowded at times. Also, there is a block right across LB Road from there that is a little questionable. I think there are def better blocks in Oceanside.

Re: Oceanside people help me out
I believe that one of my sons classmates lives on that block and his mom never complained. I would say if the house is in the middle of the block it would be best. I'm not sure about that street but on the block over (castleton) there is a lot of no parking signs but people park there to pick up anyway. You may get some parking on that street from picking up at the kindergarten center at 3:35 and possibly the pre-k drop off/pick up as well which is located on that side of the building. It is also connected to the parking lot so you may get a little extra traffic from that during school days ( I sometimes used that street to leave the lot).

Re: Oceanside people help me out
Personally I wouldn't want to live there. The traffic at dismissal time is insane.
ETA: Also what Betty said, I also know someone on the block (wonder if it's the same person Beth?) and you can't park on the street.

I agree, DD is in camp there now and kindergarten next year, and just for the camp the area gets pretty busy during pick up/drop off. I have also heard that the other side of LB Rd. is the questionable area of Oceanside, not sure if its true or not.
