We stayed at the Occidental in Punta Cana and it was terrible. I would call them less then a two star hotel.

I just booked the Hard Rock. There are good and bad reviews so I am hoping for the best.
I read reviews somewhere that Occidental is more of a spring break crowd kind of place, but someone did recommend this hotel to my DH for us.
