Ocala Florida....
I think I spelt that right?
My parents are moving there TODAY! from NY, Long Island. Does anyone live there? Or have info on it?

My BIL had a very large piece of property for hunting there till abouttwo years ago. He sold it & bought a cabin in GA. He lives in the west palm beach area of FL.
BIL says Ocala is one of the best places in FL now because the housing prices are still really low, they have lots of jobs(orange groves are nearby) & its not as over developed as other parts.
I have never been there but DH was there a couple of times, he said it was pretty rural.
I hope your parents like their new home!!!

My parents live in Summerfield, which is about 20 minutes from Ocala. I've been to Ocala, there is a little dowtown area, a few art galleries and museums, shops, etc. It's not charming like dowtowns in the Northeast can be, but for Central Florida, not bad.
If they like doing outdoor stuff, they are very close to the Ocala Natl. Forest, a huge park with lots of hiking trails, canoeing, etc.
