NYS Disability
Please help!! I know this has been talked about, but I am still confused. My company is too small to qualify for FMLA. I get 2 months paid leave, once I deliver and 3 months unpaid leave. Somebody told me that I should have my employer hold back the paid leave paychecks until disability is up. Is this true? Or can I get my 2 months paid leave, and then file for disability after those two months while I am on unpaid leave.
Thanks!

Re: NYS Disability
I believe you have to file for disability right away, because you are disabled immediately after giving birth, not 2 months later.
NYS disability is only $170/week.
